CLEPSYDRA band was formed in 2002 by 2 old friends, Fabio Di Gialluca and Danilo Ricci. The idea was to start by hitting the local live scene, performing hits from 2 famous Power-Trio of the Sixties, such as Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream. Then they've begun to produce original songs. After performing many shows in the underground scene, in 2005 and 2006 they've recorded the first self-produced EP "The Breath Of The Dog and Foam" with the bass player Alessandro Petraccia. In 2007 MP Records released their 1st album, "Second Era Of Stonehenge", featuring the bass player Phil De Rubeis and the movie soundtracker Fabio Liberatore (David di Donatello winner). During summer of 2008 they've performed opening act for P.F.M. The band begins to write new songs with a new bass player, Luca Trifoni. In March 2009 Clepsydra have released their 2nd studio album "In Other Sunsets", a concept album where the pure power-trio arrangement (guitar-bass-drums) is enriched by violins, synth, percussions, sitar and organ. 65 minutes journey among progressive, space rock and psychedelia. Thanks to the worldwide success, both in sales than in critics, in 2009 the band have produced 3 hits/videoclips "Majestic12\Eyes Only", "Lost In The Universe" and "Along The Cam Nothing More". CLEPSYDRA have been nominated for the category "Best Independent Album" at PIMI (Indie Music International Award) and at MEI, Faenza (Italy). CLEPSYDRA’s 3rd studio album "Marmalade Sky" has been released in April 2011 by Go Down Records and distributed by Audioglobe. This work boasts the special production of Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator\Faust), who participates as co-producer and as session-man. The new album recording sessions took almost one year of hard work. "Marmalade Sky" is an emotional meeting, a fascinating and psychedelic trip, that flows from intimate songs at the beginning, to mystical and dreamy experience in the second part.
