CUT are rock and roll band from Italy. They’ve been playing for almost 15 years now and they’ve released four albums, one EP and one split 7” (with fellow band from Bologna Settlefish) on various Italian labels like Gamma Pop, Riff Records and Homesleep Music. Their sound has been described in many ways but the band’s favourite is still: “John Lee Hooker stuck in a post-punk straitjacket” (http://www.pennyblackmusic.co.uk).

CUT have toured Italy constantly and they’ve also played across the UK and mainland Europe (and recently in the US too!) a few times, thus earning their reputation as one of the wildest Italian live bands ever. Their live show must be seen to be believed: they always leave their audiences overexcited and screaming for more! Through the years, they’ve played alongside many cool bands such as The Make Up, Unwound, Ulan Bator, Uzeda, Royal Trux, International Noise Conspiracy, Eels, Delta '72, Man Or Astroman, Old Time Relijun, The Hives, Heavy Trash, Violent Femmes and many more...

During Winter 2009 the band has been hitting the studio again to record their long awaited new LP called ANNIHILATION ROAD The album has been recorded and mixed by Matt Verta-Ray of Speedball Baby/Heavy Trash fame in his New York studio, NY HED. At NY HED Matt Verta-Ray has worked with artists such as The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, 20 Miles, Kid Congo Powers, Ronnie Spector, Andre Williams, Mick Collins, Mooney Suzuky, Robert Quine, and many more: he certainly was the right man to capture the raw power of CUT! To the band’s further delight the mastering has been taken care of by no other than Mr. Ivan Julian, from legendary punk/new wave outfit Richard Hell and The Voidoids! Furthermore this record marks the beginning of the band’s relationship with the mighty Go Down Records, an Italian label that is keeping the flame burning for all things rock and roll!
