Percossa Fossile
Biography
PERCOSSA FOSSILE was formed in Padua, Italy, in 2021, emerging from the remnants of a former band. Growing up and developing their music in this town deeply affected their sound—they thought outside the box and saw making music as a refuge from the mainstream. The band felt the need to push boundaries and explore a more authentic, visceral, and unrestrained language, even while appreciating the vibrant local music scene. There is no single source of inspiration because each member contributes a unique musical background. The result is a distinctive blend of 70s and 80s Progressive Rock, Free Music, Grunge, and hints of contemporary British Post-punk.
Since their appearance in 2021, Percossa Fossile has built up a network in the independent music scene of Northeast Italy, allowing them to play on many stages in squats and at secluded rave parties in the woods. In May 2023, the power trio self-released the debut EP Enduro on CD and digitally. In 2024, they embarked on a tour of France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, receiving enthusiastic feedback from international audiences. In early 2025, they signed to Go Down Records with their first studio album.

Percossa Fossile is a constantly evolving project, balanced between expressive urgency and sound research, remaining true only to itself and its musical journey.
