Veracrash started when three musicians from Milan, Marco De Salvo, Francesco Menghi and Federico Corbetta Caci met towards the end of 2002. Three souls as similar as the three vertices of an hypothetical musical/geographical triangle enclosed between Seattle , New York and California , that is to say between the decadent rock typical of the Melvins, the post hardcore noise á la Helmet and the desert psychedelia of Kyuss and Master Of Reality. Following along these lines, in 2006 they published "The ghost", a 4-track ep which met with considerable success from the critics, thus allowing the band to tour Italy and share the stage with artists such as Brant Bjork and the Bros (USA), Truckfighters (SWE), Tre allegri ragazzi morti, Ojm, Morkobot and many others. In 2007 Mattia Mancuso takes Federico Albanese's place on the bass and the band starts writing the songs for the dèbut album. The result is "11:11", a lucid vision on the world, which moves within a rock music which is both aggressive and psychedelic. Recorded in July 2008 at the Morbid Sound Studios of Milan, produced by Luigi Galmozzi, mastered at the Jupiter Studios in Seattle by Martin Feveyear (already working for Qotsa , Mudhoney , REM, Kings Of Leon), "11:11" is a kind of concept on sin and requital, decadence and renaissance and enriched with hermetic and symbolic references. A record of an evocative power unheard-of for an Italian band at its dèbut and which would be a suitable soundtrack for an Abel Ferrara film or as accompaniment for a cocktail between Aleister Crowley and Gustavo Rol.
