Biography

Punk in love with the dirty ways of lo-fi rock 'n' roll and primitive blues—WASTED PIDO from Venice has been turning heads as a one-man band since 2005.

With a DIY spirit, he's hit the road across Europe, South America, and even made stops in the USA, Vietnam, and Japan, bringing his wild and anarchic rock 'n' roll vibes to life with a mix of drum machines and foot-drum magic. His sound has evolved from catchy electro-rockabilly to a weird jump blues, blending RL Burnside-inspired fingerpicking with Django Reinhardt’s manouche strumming and a punk edge in the likes of Hasil Adkins, Link Wray, and Alan Vega. After two decades in the game, Wasted Pido knows what he’s doing, sharing the spotlight with fellow one-man bands, including O Lendário Chucrobillyman, Sheriff Perkins, The Amazing One Man Band, and Nestter Donuts, to name a few. He has opened for artists such as Bob Log III, Bloodshot Bill, Reverend Beat-Man, and countless other garage and punk bands. He even appeared live on national TV in Uruguay.

After 15 years of making music and releasing tapes and 7", he recorded his first full-length LP, Wasted Pido Ghost Revenge, in December 2019. Ready to embark on a 50-date tour in Europe in March 2020, the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic put the project on hold. Undeterred, he self-released the tape How? Now! three years later and toured Europe once again in February/March 2023. To cap it all off, in October 2024, he appeared in the movie "Le Città di Pianura", which proudly won 8 David di Donatello awards, the Italian Oscars.

In September 2025, Wasted Pido made a bold move, retreating to a quaint house in the Alpago mountains equipped with nothing but a Tascam tape recorder to craft the new album Same Shit Everywhere. This self-released gem debuted as a limited edition cassette in December. After an electrifying Brazilian tour in January and February 2026, this new record is set to be released on vinyl via Go Down Records and Tempi Tecnici in September 2026. The LP features two previously unreleased bonus tracks.
