DIPLOMATICS' main inspirations come from the 70s NYC music scene, Dead Boys, Ramones, New York Dolls, The Stooges, Tuff Darts, Velvet Underground, The Feelies. The band also loves the punk 77 attitude and soul-blues music of the Rolling Stones, The Faces, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Flaming Groovies, T-Rex. Another great passion are the Aussie bands of the 70's like Radio Birdman, The Saints and others. All of these influences blend into their musical style. In June 2014 they recorded their debut full length album, which was released in autumn 2014. Their explosive poems about boredom make people dance during concerts.
