2 years after the release of "Play At High Level", SMALL JACKETS come again with the new album "Walking The Boogie". This time their sound meets blues, soul and funk influences, always keeping their strong rock’n’roll impact. The band is still influenced by Humble Pie, Grand Funk Railroad, Ted Nugent, Motorhead, Ramones, MC5. An old style attitude mixed with proto-punk, Detroit rock mixed with "Rollingstonian" riffs. Mysterious energies sre combined together to create songs like "My Surprise", "Born To Die", "Maybe Tomorrow" and some acoustic peaks, stuffed with hammonds and symphonies such as the 9 minutes long "Wintertime". In this track the singer Lu "Steve Marriot" Silver shows very well how the roughest rock can hide a sweet spirit inside. The band shared the stage with several popular bands. From here was born the friendship with Nick Royale and Strings (both from The Hellacopters) that evolved into "Forever Night". The 2 Swedish musicians recorded the guitar solo parts of this track. The strong 70's attitude, the loud gigs and the guitars in flames reveal SMALL JACKETS as a unique band, that certainly belongs to the Hell Circle of Rockers!
