Ananda Mida
Biography
ANANDA MIDA is a stoner-rock and psychedelia collective, led by Max Ear (drummer of OJM and co-founder of Go Down Records) and Matteo Pablo Scolaro (underground guitarist and curator of Go Down Bands On Tour), with visual input from eeviac.
Since 2015 they have been playing with different line-ups, from three to six members. They play a 70s sound mixed with desert and psychedelia grooves. Their first release was the double A sided 7" Aktavas / Passavas, which started the band's personal mythology, elaborated from some fragments of an unknown teaching.
The debut album Anodnatius was released in Autumn 2016 for both Go Down Rec. and Vincebus Eruptum Recordings. It is an endeavor to remind all the positive forces and slight vibrations settled inside and outside everything and everyone.
On the sophomore record Cathodnatius the band goes through all the negative forces and dark vibrations we are living in now, featuring Conny Ochs on vocals.
Ananda Mida have played across Italy and part of Europe, collecting many shows, supporting bands like Fatso Jetson, Yawning Man, The Atomic Bitchwax, Avon, Tuber, White Hills and performing at festivals such as Maximum Festival, Heavy Psych Sound Fest, Psyka Winter Psychout Fest, Keep It Low Festival.
